Visit us to offer musical workshops. they send an ever changing mixture of artist's from the French Horn to singing lessons.

Nick White.

Nick has a great job working for Bath Theatre Royal as the Education Officer. We 're lucky to have him, its a long way to drive! Football is sometimes order of the day too.

Jackie Ekers – a trained performer working at Egg in Bath theatre. She started work as an actress at 17 and her ‘claim to fame’ is that she was the original Annie in the West End musical.

Claire Hincks

Ceramic artist, who has a talent for creating master pieces with the children in air dried clay or traditional clay. Claire feels that it's important that the children have a finished well presented end product that they can take way with them. Claire also runs felt making which has been a popular session!

Janna Edwards

Ceramic artist who makes amongst others things the most amazing creatures out of air dried clay that they children love to copy. Janna has a great way of encouraging the children so that they develop a range of skills.


Emily Stracey

The aim of my work is to give an entertaining and diverse insight into lives of various animals - mainly that of the feline species. She entertains the children with a range of fab projects.

Darrell Wakelam

Is new to our team, he make the most fantastic models. We have made a big Splat dragon!


Sammy Hurden

Sammy Hurden is a Dorset based voice workshop leader and songwriter. She feels that singing can uplift everyone’s lives. She come to us from from Bournemouth symphony orchestra who kindly support Splat through providing brilliant musicians.

Chaz Dickie

Is a Dorset based drummer and loves working with the kids to get them thinking about rhythm!

Joe Galdwin

A puppeteer who continues to amaze with his magical ability to turn nothing into a puppet. The children have loved the opportunity to create fantastical personalities more importantly help them tell their own individual stories.

Andy Kirkby

Works at the Study Gallery in Poole, he is a master of many
artistic talents but perhaps our favorite recently was the scrap metal musical instruments!

Tiago Gambogi - Brazillian Dance

He has joined our team as a dance artist and has gone down in the halls of fame as the only man to get Maggie doing the Samba! The children have loved the routines that have been developed and of course Zip, Zap, Boing….!

Tiago Gambogi is a Brazilian dancer/actor, choreographer and co-director of physical theatre company f.a.b. – The Detonators, together with Margaret Swallow. He trained at Fundação Clóvis Salgado ( Brazil) and at Laban Centre ( London) and has performed with various companies in the UK, Brazil, France, Portugal and Czech Republic. He is currently touring with f.a.b. – The Detonators’ latest production ‘Made in Brasil’, directed by Nigel Charnock; supported by the Arts Council of England, amongst 10 other supporters.

Tiago is also a very popular and sought after workshop leader who has been living and working in the South West region for the last 5 years. He has taught in various educational settings: Primary & Middle schools, Colleges, to Youth Dance Groups, Youth Centres, etc.


Rob Smith

Bournemouth and Poole Council's Arts Education Co-coordinator. Primarily working in schools but occasionally he is able to give time to leading workshops within the splat arena!

Sally Bradborn

Has recently finished an MA in Cermamics and has worked with children for many years. She travels from Devon for the workshops, have a look at her website for more information.

Zoe

Keeps us all in check and is popular with all the children. She's always on hand for extra stories at break time.

Nina Squire

Artist and teacher, Nina co-ordinates the artists and makes sure that the sessions are squeaky clean! She feels that it is especially important that the children feel that they are given the opportunity to succeed and appreciate their own individual talents.

Maggie Garforth

Works as an assistant manager at the N. Bournemouth Family Centre, employed by the Social Services Directorate and was asked to coordinate the SPLAT project as a new initiative at the centre. Maggie is always on hand for fun and a little samba if possible!

Andy

We gained Andy when Maggie became to busy to run both sessions. We've all tried to find out what he does but he's not giving anything away....
