SPLAT!! offers a range of art forms and skills from the traditional to digital arts eg. drama, dance, visual arts, 3D ceramics and carving, animation, music and percussion. The range will ensure that disability or emotional difficulty is no barrier to creativity, self-expression and achievement. Social Services staff, sessional artists, and volunteers staff the project, which is supported by a range of local residents. Recently we have had artists running figurative sculpture, digital camera workshops and traditional Celtic pottery. The media workshop led to squeals of excitement on being able to paint horns on a friends head with the help of one sotfware programme. The reward of seeing a child hand over a finished gift and the look that a parent has on receiving it are difficult to put to paper.
